We are an African Institute of higher learning offering specialised programmes in health and social justice. We provide an integrated Afri-centric and interdisciplinary approach to teaching, learning and research. Our graduates are multidisciplinary professionals who champion social justice and transform health systems.
We foster a learning environment where critical thinking, innovation, and evidence-based solutions take precedence. Our curricula are designed to reflect Africa’s diverse health systems, policy frameworks and socio-economic realities, enabling students to develop expertise that is locally relevant and globally informed.
Our flagship programmes, the Bachelor of Sexual and Reproductive Health and the Postgraduate Diploma in Sexual and Reproductive Health are accredited by the National Council for Higher Education. We are also expanding our academic offerings to include programmes in community health, global health, public health, digital health, and health services delivery. The latter courses will range from nursing, midwifery, pharmacy, clinical medicine, medical laboratory science, to medical education. We also offer short courses, certificate programmes and customised training in health and social justice.
We nurture multidisciplinary professionals who are grounded in the theory and practice of health and social justice, committed to ethical practice, and the advancement of Africentric solutions. Our graduates emerge with a deep understanding of the intersections between health and social justice, applying their expertise to strengthen institutions, shape policy, and contribute to equitable health outcomes in Africa.
Professor Nakanyike Musisi is the Chancellor at Ahaki Institute.
The Chancellor represents the ceremonial head of the Institute, embodying its values and traditions. This role involves presiding over formal assemblies and events, where the Chancellor confers degrees and other academic honors on behalf of the institution.

Ahaki Institute is based in Uganda, a country with a tropical climate, rich cultural diversity, vibrant tapestry of languages, traditions, and norms.
The Institute is located in Nakwero-Canaan Sites, Valley Road, along Gayaza-Kalagi Road, approximately 20 km from Kampala city.
