SCHOOL OF HEALTH POLICY AND ADMINISTRATION
Bachelor of Sexual and Reproductive Health
In this novel course, students are introduced to theories of Sexual and Reprodutive Health (SRH), and the concepts and approached of Africentrism in addition to the art of conducting SRH Advocacy including strategic litigation in the African context. This will enhance participants’ capacities and equip them with the art to conduct advocacy utilising tools and interventions rooted in Africentrism.
Postgraduate Diploma in Sexual and Reproductive Health
In this programme, students delve into theories of SRH and the law, scholarly writing, application of information communication technology in SRH advocacy, research methods, the concept of Africentrism and its applicability, professional ethics and SRH advocacy, advocacy for reproductive justice in Africa, and policy and stakeholder engagement. This will enhance student capacities and equip them with skills to undertake advocacy utilising tools and interventions rooted in Africentrism. This study will enhance participants’ capacities in aspects of health and social justice to influence policy and decision-making processes and equip them with the ability to undertake advocacy utilising tools and interventions.
